* Upgrading to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS software provides the latest features, security updates, and bug fixes. Not all features are available on all devices or in all regions. Battery and system performance may be influenced by many factors including network conditions and individual use; actual results may vary.

What battery health will my iPhone have?

One of the first things we test for in each device is battery life. We guarantee each device has at least 80% battery health, regardless of the condition.

It is important to note that the new OS takes up more memory on devices and requires more battery power to run. Because of this, the battery life on older devices will drain faster throughout the day. So if you’re running multiple apps at once like IG, YouTube, Netflix, etc. the battery will drain quicker than you’re expecting.

Was My iPhone Repaired Before?

We process thousands of iPhones every year, during this phase we perform functionality tests on every iPhone and when the devices do not pass the functionality test, their respective issues are fixed. We set a high bar here when it comes to supplying certified pre-owned devices, so we do not send out anything that does not meet our grading criteria or functionality testing 100%.

Why should I get an iPhone from your store?

Price: With a refurbished device, you are getting the best bang for your buck!  From our New condition to our Eco-friendly, all of our devices are fully functional and look incredible.  The only difference between them and a phone from Apple is the price!

EcoFriendly: Every time someone purchases a refurbished device they are doing their part in the fight to reduce electronic waste around the world.  E-Waste is a major problem in landfills and cause massive pollution in more rural areas.

Fully Tested: Every device goes through a 70 point functionality test.  The microphone, speaker, screen, power button, etc. are tested to ensure it works like new.

12 Month Warranty: If Anything is wrong with your device, our team will provide you with a return label to ship it back.  Our techs will repair the device or send you a replacement to make things right.

What is the difference between Certified Preowned iPhones and New?
Certified pre-owned phones are lightly used, thoroughly inspected by a professional team (and repaired if necessary), and then you’re covered by our free 1 year warranty as well.

New Phones Are never used and have the chance of not being tested. So new phones have warranty but only for a few weeks. You will have to pay extra for a longer warranty.
Which network does my phone work on?

To keep it super simple, let’s just say that there are two types of networks in telecommunications: GSM and CDMA. You know the big telecom giants? T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint? Also, please note that Sprint merged with T-Mobile! These telecom giants dominate the cellular airwaves across the USA, and use only the two types of networks we mentioned earlier. T-Mobile and AT&T primarily operate in the GSM network, while Verizon and Sprint operate in the CDMA network. Each carrier has its own network towers (3G, LTE, and/or 5G) that operate each of their own cellular networks.

Sometimes the bigger companies don’t have the right phone plan for customers. What do the customers do? They get a phone plan with a smaller provider like Cricket, Boost, Mint, Metro, or Straight Talk. These smaller carriers operate as an MVNO, or Mobile Virtual Network Operator, to be fancy. Again, to keep it super simple, these MVNOs use the physical network towers of the telecom giants and ‘feed off’ of their network coverage. Why choose an MVNO? They offer very budget-friendly plans with great coverage. This is where knowing your network is important because you can save yourself a lot of stress by doing a little research and getting the right device.

How To Set Up Your Android

Once you’ve powered up your device, you’ll be greeted with a series of set-up chores. This is where you’ll set your language preferences, connect to your home Wi-Fi network, and then enter your Google account details. This is the same as your Gmail address and password—and yes, you will need to have a Google account to use an Android phone. Lastly, set up your security features like a device unlock passcode and the fingerprint unlocking feature, if your phone offers it.

Being signed in to your Google account makes it easy to set up a new phone from there, especially if you’ve previously owned an Android device. Things like any contacts, calendars, and emails that are tied to your Google account—whether you stashed them there from the web or from your old Android phone—should flow onto your new device automatically as soon as you log in.

If you had an Android phone before this one, just make sure that the old phone is backed up. Go to Settings > Backup & reset. There, you’ll see options for Back up my data (turn this on, if it’s not) and Automatic restore (toggle this to on as well). Those two settings will ensure that your contacts, calendars, and Gmail inbox become available on your new phone. Also, all your apps and their various settings should make the jump too.

There are ways to access your photos on your new phone, but your best bet is to use Google’s cloud-based service, Google Photos, which comes preinstalled on Android devices. It’s also the place your photos are automatically saved every time you back up your photos on an Android phone. (If you find yourself running out of room in your Google account too often, check out our guide for how to free up space.) If you’re not already using Google photos, that’s OK. Pick up your old phone, and back up all your photos to the Google Photos cloud by opening the app and tapping on your small round user icon in the upper left. Select Back up Now and wait for the photos to sync. Your photos should then be available to browse and download on your new Android phone—as well as the web, and any iOS device where you’ve downloaded the Google Photos app.

Once you’ve synced all the data that’s available from your Google account, you’ll want to link some of your other accounts to your phone for seamless integration down the line. Just head to Settings > Accounts, select Add account and enter your info for Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Skype, and whatever else you rely on on the regular.

One last tip? Keep an eye on Google Assistant, a personal assistant baked into Android that will learn from your search and location history to serve up timely information and articles. You can see personalized news articles chosen by the Assistant at any time by swiping right on the home screen.

To make sure the Assistant is on, go to Settings > Google > Search, where you can customize the type of cards you see, which notifications you get, and what sort of voice activation you prefer if any.

Certified pre-owned phones are lightly used, thoroughly inspected by our professional team, and repaired if necessary. Plus, they come with a free 1-year warranty for your peace of mind.

In contrast, new phones are unused but may not be as rigorously tested. They typically come with a limited warranty lasting only a few weeks, and extending the warranty requires an additional cost. By choosing certified pre-owned, you get a high-quality device with comprehensive coverage included.

Setting Up Your Mac

1. Plug it in
Even though the system comes with a bit of juice in the battery from its post-assembly testing, you’ll still need to plug the system in “just in case.”

2. Press the power button
The power button is the topmost right key above the delete key. If you’ve upgraded from an older pre-2012 MacBook or MacBook Pro, you’ll notice this is where the DVD eject button used to reside.

3. Choose your country
The MacBook Pro will ask you what country you’re in. This will guide which language you’re using, as well as determine the format for things like dates, time, and the language in macOS.

4. Choose your keyboard
Right off the bat, it should suggest the US QWERTY keyboard as standard.

Choose Show All if you need to plug in a foreign keyboard or if you’re setting up a MacBook Pro that you’ve bought overseas.

5. Connect to Wi-Fi
The system will ask you to connect to a Wi-Fi network. Choose your router from the list of SSIDs presented, or click on the “use another network” button if you’re using an Ethernet adapter or don’t wish to connect to a network at this time.

6. Migrate your stuff
The MacBook Pro will give you the option to migrate your accounts, password, apps, documents, and environment from another Mac. If you have a Thunderbolt cable and adapter, you can connect your old Mac at this time.

If you’re using a Time Machine backup from an older Mac, you can connect the drive now. Once you connect the drive and click next, you can choose a backup or account to move over to your new MacBook Pro.

7. Set up iCloud
The MacBook Pro will ask you to log in to your iCloud account by entering your Apple ID and password. This is equivalent to your. Mac or Me.com account if you’re a veteran Apple user. If this is your first Mac, it would behoove you to create an iCloud account now.

This way you can take advantage of iCloud’s free features, like email, find my Mac, and Keychain password sync with iOS devices. If you have a separate Apple ID for your iTunes account, you can enter this info here too.

We recommend that you enable Location Services and use “Find My Mac,” as it will help you recover a lost MacBook Pro if you leave it in a coffee shop or even if it is stolen.

8. Agree to terms and conditions
You’ll have to agree to the terms and conditions next; they’re pretty standard legalese that almost no one reads.

9. Choose a username and password
You can just let macOS make up one based on your full name, but you can change that on this screen. You’re also required to select a password at this time. If you want to disable your password later (though you shouldn’t), you can do that in the Security or the Users & Groups control panel.

10. Select or opt out of Diagnostics & Usage
It is an egalitarian idea, but allowing bug reports will help developers fix and update problems with macOS programs and the operating system itself. Uncheck these boxes if you’d rather keep a larger semblance of privacy.

11. Enable Siri
Siri is the automated assistant introduced with iOS. Since this is a brand-new MacBook Pro, you should have more than enough power to run Siri with very little slowdown to your multitasking.

12. Set up Touch ID
Another crossover from the iPhone is Touch ID, which lets you log in without typing your password. You’ll still need to remember it for the first time logging on after a reboot, but it can shave precious seconds when you wake the system from sleep mode.

13. Enter your fingerprint to enable Touch ID
Start with the index finger on your dominant hand. You can always add others later. Just like on the iPhone, you’ll need to tap and lift your finger several times to register all the arches, loops, and whorls.

14. That’s it!
The next screen you see should be of the Mac filing all of this info away, and then you should see the majestic peaks of the Sierra desktop.

How to update your Mac
Use Software Update
  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu , then click Software Update to check for updates.
  2. If any updates are available, click the Update Now button to install them. Or click “More info” to see details about each update and select specific updates to install. You might be asked to enter your administrator password.
    Software Update preferences
  3. When Software Update says that your Mac is up to date, the installed version of macOS and all of its apps are also up to date. That includes Safari, Music, Photos, Books, Messages, Mail, Calendar, and FaceTime.
  4. To automatically install future updates, including for apps that you got from the App Store, select “Automatically keep my Mac up to date.” Your Mac will notify you when updates require it to restart, so you can always choose to install those later.
